About the Course

The study of Aromatherapy is the art of using aromatic extracts of plants for healing, relaxation and general health improvement.  This program builds on the competencies of the Cert IV in Aromatherapy Course and includes further aromatherapy studies in nutrition, the use of aromatherapy in specific conditions and current research reviews in the field of Aromatherapy & Aromatic medicine.

You may start your studies anytime by enrolling in the Distance Learning unit:  Aromatherapy Studies - An Introduction or via face to face as available.

Qualifications:

Graduates will be awarded the following qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Aromatherapy which is a pre-requisite to
  • Diploma of Aromatherapy
  • availability to a Bachelor Degree articulation with Charles Sturt University

Post Graduate Pathways:

Graduates of Nature Care College's accredited Diploma of Aromatherapy are eligible to apply for articulation into the Bachelor of Health Science (Complementary Medicine) at Charles Sturt University (CSU).

Graduates are also eligible for advanced standing in the following Nature Care College qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice
  • Diploma of Reflexology.

 

Flexible Study Options:

  • Part-time 1 year + 1 term
  • Certificate IV in Aromatherapy (3 terms) pre-requisite to
  • Diploma of Aromatherapy  (1 term)

Diploma units starts 28th January 2012

Who Recognises My Qualifications?

The Diploma of Aromatherapy is government accredited with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is the national regulator for Australia's vocational education and training.

The Diploma of Aromatherapy is accredited with the following Professional Associations:

  • ATMS  Australian Traditional Medicine Society
  • International Aromatherapy & Aromatic Medicine Association Inc (IAAMA)
