The Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice is designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to treat clients with a full body therapeutic massage.
What is Massage?
The healing power of touch manifests itself through many tactile therapy treatments, with one of the most popular and widely known being Remedial Massage. Remedial Massage practitioners utilise skilled techniques of manual manipulation of the soft tissue for the purpose of producing therapeutic effects upon the nervous, muscular and circulatory systems of the body. Our professional training programs are designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to treat clients with a full body therapeutic massage.

Post Graduate Pathways:
Graduates of Nature Care College's Certficate IV in Massage Therapy Practice have the option of completing a few additional subjects to obtain the Diploma of Remedial Massage.

Who Recognises My Qualifications?
The Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy is fully Government accredited with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). The Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) is the national regulator for Australia’s vocational education and training sector.
The Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice is also accredited with the Professional Associations - the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS), the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), the Australian Association of Massage Therapists (AAMT), the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT), the Association of Massage Therapists & Wholistic Practitioners (Canada) and Association of Remedial Massuers (ARM).

Option 1: Early Bird Discount: A 5% discount is available for full and part time students if the full amount of annual course fees & the $95.00 Enrolment Fee are paid one week prior to the start of the course.
Option 2: Pay term by term as you go: An initial deposit of 50% of your first term tuition fees together with the $95 Enrolment Fee is required to secure your spot in the course. The balance of tuition fees are due two weeks prior to the start of each term.
Option 3: Payment Plans: An initial depositof 50% of your first term tuition fees together with the $95.00 Enrolment Fee is required to secure your spot in the course. The balance can be paid by fortnightly or weekly instalments via direct debit with the balance due by the end of term. A 10% surcharge is applied to the outstanding balance as of the first week of term.

- Apply First Aid

This unit presented by Training Aid Australia deals with recognising and responding to an emergency in the workplace. Apply Basic First Aid (HLTFA1A) & Apply first aid (HLTFA301B) are compulsory in all our professional training programs. The course includes both a home study theory component and practical assessment. All participants are required to complete the theory component prior to attending this course. The theory component can be completed in one of two ways:
- Option 1: Online Training - Once enrolled a login and password will be sent via email for the online component to be completed prior to the training date.
- Option 2: Workbook and Manual - Once enrolled the participant receives their workbook and training manual to be completed prior to the training date.

This unit of study covers the skills required by practitioners to establish and maintain effective communication with clients throughout all interactions and provide basic counselling as required and as appropriate to facilitate the treatment or health service being provided.

A continuation of Swedish Massage, Remedial Massage 1 will provide you with the skills and knowledge to treat musculoskeletal problems using advanced massage techniques.

A continuation of Remedial Massage 1, you will be given the skills and knowledge to enable you to treat musculoskeletal problems using basic postural diagnosis techniques as well as soft tissue techniques.

- Safe Practices

This workshop incorporates two topics: Infection Control in Alternative Health Clinics and Occupational, Health and Safety (OHS).
This unit incorporates the skills and knowledge required to comply with infection control policies and procedures and contribute to OHS processes.

- Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is an introduction to general massage that employs the fundamental manipulations (techniques) applied to the soft tissues of the body. Swedish massage forms the underpinning practical and theoretical knowledge for Remedial Massage 1& 2. In this unit of study you will learn the basic techniques, ethical behaviour and boundaries, draping, contraindications, history and definition of massage etc. Participants on finishing this unit of study should be competent in all areas of general massage.

Are you a bodywork student interested in expanding your knowledge of the body and how it works? This unit of study is designed to cover the basic principles of pathology, methods of collecting data on clients, problem-solving, establishing a treatment plan and when to refer a client. Common complaints, illnesses and skin conditions that may be encountered by a bodywork therapist will also be covered in-depth.
