This is one unit of study you can't do without! A fundamental component of all major modalities, this subject will teach you about the structure, general function and organisation of the human body.

- Apply First Aid

This unit presented by Training Aid Australia deals with recognising and responding to an emergency in the workplace. Apply Basic First Aid (HLTFA1A) & Apply first aid (HLTFA301B) are compulsory in all our professional training programs. The course includes both a home study theory component and practical assessment. All participants are required to complete the theory component prior to attending this course. The theory component can be completed in one of two ways:
- Option 1: Online Training - Once enrolled a login and password will be sent via email for the online component to be completed prior to the training date.
- Option 2: Workbook and Manual - Once enrolled the participant receives their workbook and training manual to be completed prior to the training date.

This module brings your Aromatherapy practice to life by integrating your knowledge of Massage, Anatomy and Physiology and Aromatherapy Studies. You will learn to combine the unique rhythmic aromatherapy massage techniques with your understanding of essential oils.

This unit of study will prepare you for working in a clinical health setting by providing you with the knowledge and skills required to administer a practice. You will also learn how to make referrals to other health care professionals and community services when appropriate, develop your networking skills, comply with statutory obligations and maintain ethical work practices.

This integrative module teaches you how to apply your knowledge of massage and essential oils to a range of clinical situations. Through examination of case studies, group discussions and cross referencing, students will learn to distinguish which essential oils are most suitable in dealing with a variety of ailments.

This unit of study covers the skills required by practitioners to establish and maintain effective communication with clients throughout all interactions and provide basic counselling as required and as appropriate to facilitate the treatment or health service being provided.

This workshop incorporates two topics: Infection Control in Alternative Health Clinics and Occupational, Health and Safety (OHS).

Swedish massage is an introduction to general massage that employs the fundamental manipulations (techniques) applied to the soft tissues of the body. Swedish massage forms the underpinning practical and theoretical knowledge for Remedial Massage 1& 2. In this unit of study you will learn the basic techniques, ethical behaviour and boundaries, draping, contraindications, history and definition of massage etc. Participants on finishing this unit of study should be competent in all areas of general massage.

- Symptomatology & Pathology for Bodyworkers

Are you a bodywork student interested in expanding your knowledge of the body and how it works? This unit of study is designed to cover the basic principles of pathology, methods of collecting data on clients, problem-solving, establishing a treatment plan and when to refer a client. Common complaints, illnesses and skin conditions that may be encountered by a bodywork therapist will also be covered in-depth.
