Massage therapy is a growing part of cancer care, and skilled touch is being welcomed into the daily lives of people with cancer. Research has dispelled the belief that massage can spread cancer throughout the body. Comfort-oriented massage does not contribute to the spread of cancer rather that cancer is a result of genetic mutations (changes to a cell's DNA) and other processes in the body.The New South Wales Cancer Council states "light, relaxing massage can be given safely to people at all stages of their cancer journey". Nature Care is offering two evening classes which will provide an overview about the benefits of massage for people who have cancer or recovering cancer.
