Study with the experts in Shiatsu. Our teachers have over 25 years of experience as practitioners in the field.
What is Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies?
Shiatsu is a tactile therapy developed by the Japanese early this century which incorporates the philosophy of Food as Medicine. It translates literally as 'finger pressure', although a practitioner will use palms, forearms, knees and feet in the true course of the treatment. Shiatsu is a stimulating and powerful treatment whereby pressure is applied to the body to activate the flow of 'Ki' (energy), freeing the body from chronic energy blockages and tensions, providing the opportunity for physical and emotional transformation.
