Proudly supported by Australian Traditional Medicine Society, Natural Medicine Week 22-28 May 2017, celebrates the three primary models of natural medicine; these being Ingestive, Bodywork and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
"An Ayurvedic Approach to Managing Chronic illness" Presented by Dr Shaun Matthews
Everyone is welcome to join us for this informative talk where you will hear from Dr Shaun Matthews one of Australia's leading experts in Ayurvedic Medicine speak about the health benefits of an Ayurvedic approach to managing chronic illness.
Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India, was first recognised by the rishi (seers) of India and originated over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda places an emphasis on re-establishing balance on all levels through a healthy diet, lifestyle, exercise and body cleansing supporting the health of mind, body and spirit.
Dr Shaun Matthews will be speaking for one hour, with a short break and then Q and A. Come along to gain insight into how an Ayurvedic Medicine approach can manage chronic illness.
About Dr Shaun Matthews
Dr Shaun Matthews is a medical practitioner, Ayurveda and Yoga Therapist and author based in Sydney. Shaun established the Ayurvedic Medicine Department at Nature Care College in 1997 and co-ordinates the one-year training in Ayurvedic Healing. His book, 'The art of balanced living - The right diet and lifestyle for your body type', was published in January 2016.
