Herbal Medicine blends traditional wisdom with modern scientific understanding to promote whole-body wellbeing. In this industry-recognised course, you’ll gain the confidence and clinical skills to practice as a Western Herbal Medicine practitioner and support clients with personalised herbal formulations.

Study Your Way

Nature Care makes learning accessible for everyone. Choose the learning style that suits your lifestyle or do a combination of both course delivery options.

  • Self-Paced Online Learning: The majority of subjects available in a flexible, self-paced online delivery format. You can enrol at any time throughout the year and take up to 6 months to complete each subject, allowing you to study when it suits you.
  • Lecturer-Led Online Sessions: Join scheduled virtual online classes and engage with trainers and peers in real time with our lecturer-led sessions. Can’t join the class in real time? No problem, the class recordings are available to watch in-line with your own weekly scheulde 

Getting Started

  • Self-Paced Online Learning: You can enrol into the Advanced Practitioner of Clinical Western Herbal Medicine and start your selected subjects at any time of the year!
  • Lecturer-Led Online Sessions: The Advanced Practitioner of Clinical Western Herbal Medicine course has an annual intake commencing from 4 March.

If you miss the annual intake, you can commence your studies by the self-paced course delivery mode and join the lecturer-led sessions later in the year. You can also choose your course delivery mode on a subject-by-subject basis.

Course Recognition

Nature Care College is an approved education provider for the Advanced Practitioner of Clinical Western Herbal Medicine with the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).

Nature Care learners get free student membership with ATMS. By joining ATMS you become a member of Australia’s leading natural medicine Association and will be supported on your journey to becoming an Accredited Professional Practitioner.  

Once you graduate you can upgrade your student membership to ATMS Accredited Membership with access to professional indemnity insurance cover offered exclusively to ATMS members as well as many other membership benefits.  

Course Outcome

Graduates of the Advanced Practitioner of Clinical Western Herbal Medicine are equipped to practice as an Herbal Medicine Practitioner in roles such as:

  • Clinical Herbalist
  • Dispensary or Retail Herbal Advisor
  • Complementary Practitioner within collaborative health settings

Graduates will have the skills to confidently support clients with integrative, holistic personalised health care using plant medicines, to deliver people focused care that prioritises wellbeing.

Course Enrolment

You are welcome to enrol if you are 18 years and over. Nature Care’s wide demographic of learners makes learning with likeminded people an enriching and fulfilling experience.

How to enrol

You can secure your place today by enrolling with a $295 deposit. Being a one off $95 Course Program Enrolment Fee and a $200 deposit that is credited towards your first subject.
