The Professional Certificate of Natural Remedies provides you with the tools to help others to live a more natural way of living to achieve good health, increased happiness and a balanced life.

Enjoy the ease of attending the class live in our virtual classroom with your Trainer OR watch the recording in line with your own weekly study schedule. You can choose to:

  1. Attend the class lesson live at the allocated time online OR
  2. Review the class recording at your leisure in line with your own weekly study schedule OR
  3. You can attend the live class and watch the recording for revision to consolidate your learning

Each class recording is available for the whole duration of term to optimise your learning experience.

Description: An introduction to the subtle healing system by Dr Edward Bach for treating negative states of mind and emotions. You will learn about the 38 unique remedies, including how to prescribe and dispense them.

Learning Hours: Learning hours are inclusive of all supervised and prescribed activities throughout the duration of this subject. These may include lectures, on-line tasks, forums, assessments, prescribed reading, research, assignments and activities.

Communicate With Clients

Description: This unit of study covers the skills required by practitioners to establish and maintain effective communication with clients throughout all interactions and provide basic counselling as required and as appropriate to facilitate the treatment or health service being provided. The skills apply to work in a range of health settings where health services are provided with direct client contact involved.

Learning Hours: Learning hours are inclusive of all supervised and prescribed activities throughout the duration of this unit of study. These may include lectures, on-line tasks, forums, assessments, prescribed reading, research, assignments and activities.

Foundations of Nutrition A

Description: In this stimulating unit of study you will gain a solid understanding of the concepts of naturopathic nutrition. You will be introduced to the macronutrients, including their role in absorption, metabolism and diet and will also study nutrient values, specific food
groups and the effects of processing on foods. This unit of study will enable you to identify appropriate dietary modification and negotiate dietary changes according to an individual’s particular requirements.

Learning Hours: Learning hours are inclusive of all supervised and prescribed activities throughout the duration of this unit of study. These may include lectures, on-line tasks, forums, assessments, prescribed reading, research, assignments and activities.

Assessment
This unit is assessed by:

  • One written assignment
  • One end of term exam

Description: Methods of herbal manufacturing are covered in this course, including harvesting, drying and storing as well as extraction methods. You will learn how to identify legal restrictions on manufacturing and dispensing herbs.

Description: Welcome to the wonderful world of Herbal Medicine! This one-year Unit of Study introduces the philosophy and science of herbalism in its historical perspective. You will explore the materia medica, learn about the therapeutic effects, constituents,
preparation and usage of plants as medicine.

Weight Management Strategies

Description: At the end of this unit, students will be equipped with the skills and knowledge required to identify weight loss and maintenance strategies for clients. It includes knowledge of physical and psychological qualities of foods, dietary types and trends, diets and lifestyle choices to meet varying client needs with diverse relationships to foods and eating patterns.
